Role of a Relationship Manager in Retail Banking at ICICI Bank Ltd

Role of a Relationship Manager:

As a Relationship Manager, you have the opportunity to engage with high-value customers of ICICI Bank and provide comprehensive banking solutions. Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and expanding the ICICI Customer family by offering unique and fair solutions that align with customers' evolving needs.
  • Positioning ICICI Bank as the preferred bank among customers through superior service as their one-point of contact.
  • Continuously understanding changing customer preferences, market trends, and identifying growth opportunities for your portfolio.
  • Collaborating seamlessly across ICICI Bank teams to offer superior service and quick resolution of customer queries and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with customers throughout their life-cycle to offer suitable products and services based on their financial needs.
  • Nurturing existing customer relationships while maintaining portfolio quality.
  • Expanding and developing the customer base by onboarding new customers.
  • Analyzing consumer needs, market trends, and potential partnerships to offer unique, technology-driven solutions.
  • Building a sales pipeline and implementing various marketing strategies.
  • Formulating sales strategies, cross-selling, and upselling to maximize customer reach.
  • Offering 360-degree banking solutions to individuals, professionals, and businesses.
  • Providing customers with insights and advice based on superior knowledge and service.

Daily Activities:

  • Monitoring and evaluating industry trends and customer drivers.
  • Collaborating frequently with internal stakeholders to develop the right solutions and market strategy.
  • Managing the proposal response process.
  • Generating leads, identifying decision-makers, screening potential business opportunities, and leading pitch logistics.
  • Developing and implementing sales and customer relationship strategies, processes, and structures.
  • Supporting deal structure and pricing with business value analysis.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates should have a Post-Graduate/MBA degree from a leading institution with specialization in any stream, or a Graduate degree with experience in relationship management.

Experience:

The Relationship Manager should have 0-5 years of overall experience in sales and relationship management in any industry. Experience in Relationship Management in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector is preferred.
